This Privacy Policy explains how Retinelle handles personal data for the iOS app and related website pages.

2. What We Collect
A) Data you create in the app (stored locally)
Retinelle is designed to work primarily on-device. Inventory entries, photos, labels, and related content are stored on your device unless you choose to export/share them.
B) Crash and diagnostics data
We use Sentry to detect and fix app errors. Data may include:
- Device and OS information
- App version and technical diagnostics
- Crash logs and stack traces
- Approximate usage timestamps
C) Product usage analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand feature usage and improve the app. Data may include:
- App interaction events
- Device/app metadata (for example app version, language, and similar technical context)
- Approximate timestamps and usage patterns
We do not intentionally send or store private inventory content in analytics tools, including inventory names, item details, notes, or photos.
D) Subscription and purchase metadata
For in-app subscriptions, payment processing is handled by Apple. We may receive limited subscription status or transaction-related metadata needed to enable paid features.

We use data to:
- Operate and maintain Retinelle
- Provide and improve app features
- Diagnose crashes and technical issues
- Analyze product usage trends
- Verify subscription entitlement for paid features

Depending on your location, we process data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (providing the app and requested features)

- On-device inventory data: kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Crash/analytics data: retained only as long as needed for diagnostics, analytics, and product improvement, subject to configured provider retention windows and legal requirements.
- Subscription metadata: retained as needed for entitlement, accounting, tax, and legal compliance.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:

- Deletion of personal data
- Restriction or objection to processing
- Data portability
- Withdrawal of consent (where processing is based on consent)

For data stored only on your device, you can also delete content directly in the app or by uninstalling the app.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No security measure is perfect, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. Children’s Privacy
Retinelle is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13.
The App Store age rating (4+) reflects content suitability and parental controls, and does not mean the app is specifically directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that personal data from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take steps to delete it as required by applicable law. Parents or guardians can contact us at contact@retinelle.app.

Our website does not set tracking cookies.
